Kaitlin Flanigan is a web producer for New England Cable News. At NECN, she produces content for the web, edits videos and reporters’ stories, measures analytics and manages the stations’ social media accounts during the evening.
She graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2011 with journalism degrees in News/Editorial and Electronic Media.
Kaitlin previously interned for NECN in Summer 2011, and was also a producer and reporter for the student-run news productions Oregon News and DuckU.
On the print side of journalism, Kaitlin served as the sole news editor of the Oregon Daily Emerald, reported for Ethos magazine and interned at Eugene Weekly
Kaitlin originally set her website up as a blog to fulfill a requirement for a journalism course during Winter 2010, so the earliest posts are class-oriented. Now, she’ll write about her foray into the journalism industry – and maybe the odd blog post here and there.
Kaitlin is from Oregon, but loves that she now has roots in Boston, too.
